Ned Walsh is currently pursuing a degree in Sports Science and Exercise Performance at the University of Limerick.
He set up ‘The Recovery Lab’ at The Physio Lab, where he has introduced advanced technologies . Ned sourced recovery devices, including Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers, a Cryotherapy Chamber and an Infrared Roller.
Notably, Ned has integrated a Cryotherapy Chamber into The Recovery Lab that can reach temperatures as low as minus 190°C – one of only two such chambers in Ireland. This state-of-the-art Cryotherapy Chamber is used for advanced recovery treatments, promoting faster muscle recovery, reducing inflammation, and enhancing athletic performance. It’s a powerful tool for optimizing recovery after intense training or injury, allowing athletes and fitness enthusiasts to recover faster and perform at their best.
In addition to the Cryotherapy Chamber, Ned has also introduced one of only two Infrared Rollers in the country into The Recovery Lab. This device is used to treat myofascial trigger points, optimising superior movement patterns and enhancing sports performance.
An avid sports enthusiast, Ned plays with JK Brackens on the Senior Hurling and Football squads. He has also represented the University of Limerick, playing on both the Freshers and Fitzgibbon squads, further enhancing his expertise in sports performance and recovery.
Ned is trained in the R-FORCE anti gravity treadmill to oversee rehabilitation programs and optimise sports recovery and performance progression. He is also fully trained in administering Oxygen Chamber treatments, ensuring a comprehensive and tailored recovery experience for all clients. Ned enjoys and is committed to providing cutting-edge, effective recovery solutions.
